Hi, guys! Today is Wednesday, so you know what that means: I am sharing what is on my work desk with you! A new purchase is sitting in plain sight today. I picked up a set of Inktense pencils. I have been wanting them for some time. They work so well and are so vibrant. I am working on a card for my nephew Tom who is graduating grade school this week. I didn't want to do the usual cap and diploma since he is so young and thought he would like this Tim Holtz stamp. Tom has made Tim Holtz Tags with me in the past, so he has an appreciation for his work and loves Distress Inks, too. Those alpha/numbers by Tim Holtz are a fun touch to personalize it.
Thank you to Julia of Stamping-Ground for this weekly desk hopping fun! I look forward to visiting with some of of you today!
I am entering this card in the Challenge: Kraft at: http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.co.uk
Hope you have a great day! Until next time!

Nothing Says Flag Day Like An Uncle Sam Kitty!
Hi, guys! Hope all is going well! Today I am going to share a couple of cards I made this week for some family members.
I made this first one for my sister Maggie. If you have been reading my blog for a while you may remember that I make her a special card each year for Flag Day. I know it is not a usual "card" holiday, but it is a tradition between us. You can see last year's card and explanation here. This year I decided to go with a kitty dressed up like Uncle Sam by The Stampsmith. The patriotic paper is from the Tim Holtz Seasonal paper pad. Distress ink was used to age/antique the image.
Next up is a graduation card I made for my nephew Christopher who is beginning High School in September. I decided to use some of the fun goodies from my Simon Says Stamp June Kit. It is the first kit I ever used, so it was fun to try my hand at using some new products. I decided to use my Stampers Anonymous Lightbulb Blueprint stamp, as I thought it went well with the sentiment I found in the paper pad. Tattered Rose Distress ink was used on the image as it went very well with the sentiment color.
A special thank you to all who have sacrificed so much for our country and our flag! I hope if you live in the U.S. that you will hang out your flag today and show your appreciation and love for it along with me.
Until next time!

Congratulations, Graduate!
Hi, guys! Graduation season is upon us! I was asked by a fellow blogger to make a personalized card for her sister's MBA graduation. I wanted to tie the business aspect with the graduation theme, so I decided to use my Tim Holtz Alterations ledger embossing folder for the background. It is aged with Vintage Photo & Black Soot Distress Ink.
Supplies:
Stamps: Ditto G, Hero Arts
Paper: Gina K
Ink: Black Archival, Distress Inks
Misc.: Tim Holtz Alterations Embossing Folder, Alpha Parts-Ideology
I thought it would be fun to make my own flags to personalize the card.
I was very happy to hear that the graduate is an accountant, and so the ledger background was a great idea!
Congratulations to Lesley on such a wonderful accomplishment! Keep reaching for your dreams!
Until next time!

Welcome, Eli Patrick!
Hi, guys! Hope all is well. I have been having a great weekend and a productive one! My husband is busy putting together my furniture for my stamp room as I type this. I go in and help him when he needs another set of hands. The furniture was delivered this week from IKEA. I can't wait to see it all put together. It is so exciting!
I thought I would share a card I made for my brother. He is the one who has been helping me non-stop with getting my blog up and running and answering my computer questions. My brother asked for a special card to be made for a co-worker of his who is having her first baby. He supplied me with the name of the baby so I could make it personalized.
Supplies:
Stamps: Stampendous
Paper: Stampin' Up
Ink: Memento Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Misc.: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Oval Punches, Ribbon, Gems, Distress Tool
I also made a graduation card for a co-worker to give for her cousin's graduation. I haven't shared any graduation cards yet this year so I thought this would be a great one to start with. I used a computer generated name and year. The diplomas were all clear embossed, and the hats were stamped with black Versafine ink and clear embossed.
Supplies:
Stamps: Stampendous, Vap! Scrap
Paper: Stampin' Up, Gina K Designs (White, Black)
Ink: Versamark, Memento Black, Versafine Black
Misc.: Clear Embossing Powder, Oval Punches, Gems, Twine, Circle Punches
I am off to do some barbecuing with my hubby. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a great week ahead!
