WOYWW 192: Valentines, Anyone?

Hi, guys!  I can't believe it is Wednesday already!  I am submitting this picture of my desk for WOYWW.  As you can see I am in serious Valentine's Day mode.  I decided to take out my Prisma pencils and Gamsol and use them to color my images.

Making Valentine's Day cards is one of my favorite things to do. I really enjoy the great variety of options out there.  I am not one who likes to mass produce the same cards over and over, so with so many options I can just have fun and tailor my cards for the recipient.

Hope you have a great day and hope you find a few moments to do something you love!

I so agree about the mass production- I did a couple of batches of Wedding Invitations last year, and to be truthful, although it paid well, I truly hated it by the end- just so repetitive. Have a great week, Hugs,xx Shaz #74

Beautiful cards Winnie. I love that popping toast stamp that looks great fun! Your neatly organised pencils remind me of a lady that comes to my card class who can't bear it if I give her a set of pencils that are not in colour order! If I keep giving her the messed up tins she gives them back to me all lovely and ordered again ;-) I think she is on to me. Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 52

I don't like mass production of cards either, but then I think I am ADD most days and just can't remake the same thing over and over! Looks like you are having tons of fun! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my blog, waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥

Lovely cards!! I only mass produce Christmas cards, but even then I need 4-6 designs! And I love your room. I'm thinking I need to explore Ikea! Thanks for sharing.

Your the first person other than myself I have seen/read on a blog who uses this technique
I love it
Much prefer it over Coptic or other colouring methods
Please show some of your work soon using this method of colouring

How very organized and neat your desk is. I need to switch to something less messy than mixed media! I loved your studio organization blog. Some great ideas for me to attempt now I have got rid of so much fabric!

I got a set of Prisma pencils for Christmas as I'm loving using them, I prefer the mineral oil for blending though. Lovely busy desk too.

Hi Winnie- Yeah, you can use it for wood, we put it on the wood handles of our good kitchen knives. We bought it at the drugstore, it’s actually food grade and is used for treating constipation!! But don’t let that put you off, lol! I didn’t get on very well with the mineral spirits, I prefer the oil, but as I’m new to Prisma’s I might not have given it long enough with the spirits.
