A Note of Cheer
Hi, guys! For today, I thought I would share a card I made for my brother. He needed a card for a friend who is undergoing treatments for an illness. I wanted to keep it light in feel, and for it to have a masculine look. After going through my sentiments, I found one that I thought would work. It reads inside "Feel Better Soon". I sure hope getting a surprise card in the mail will bring a smile to his friend. As I was digging through my piles of stamps, I found this old typewriter image from Hero Arts. I remember being a young girl learning how to type on one of these, and thought maybe this fellow would appreciate this image from the past. I can't believe I used to type papers on one of these machines!

I know, a typewriter, really. I was just thinking about that the other day. I am very thankful I learned to type, and very thankful for keyboarding on a computer now. It puts the joy back into typing. On of my jobs when I was in my 20's was issuing license tags in Ohio. Everyone had to get them during one month. I worked there the first year that they were using computer scanned forms. Still had to type the form, and the worst thing was that if you made a mistake you had to start over. Plus you were pushed to be fast. What a nightmare!

I learned to type on an actually typewritter and glad that I did, but I'm not sorry to see keyboards come around because typing "carbon" copies was a real pain! I love my delete and backspace keys...LOL
Gah! Winnie, I may have to have you make something for me with this design. I have 75+ year old typewriter. I absolutely adore it. You can't go wrong with words!
