Congratulations On Your New Alarm Clock!

My husband came home and asked if I could make a card for his co-worker friend James.  James and his wife had a little baby girl and he wanted a funny card for him.  I decided to use my alarm clock stamp from the Stampers Anonymous Blueprint series.  The image is heat embossed with Ranger silver embossing powder.  The card was distressed using Antique Linen Distress Inks.  If you look close enough you may notice a tiny pink safety pin!

I thought it would be fun to use computerized "crying" sounds coming from the alarm clock.  For the inside I used a fun sentiment from Raisin Boat congratulating the couple on their new alarm clock!  I really love Raisin Boat's "Innies & Outies" as the sentiments are perfect for card making and cut to fit the A2 size without trimming, etc.

Congratulations to James and Kristin on the birth of their daughter, Charlotte!

Until next time!

It's A Girl!!

Hi, guys!  I have been so happy this week as my stepson Eric became a father on Wednesday! Sweet little Aryana is here and mom and baby are both doing well!  I have been champing at the bit to make a card for them, but they didn't know the sex of the baby, so I waited.  I decided to use one of my House Mouse stamps as the focal image.  I find her so adorable all nestled in her walnut shell!

Supplies:
Stamps: House Mouse, Amy Tangerine
Paper: Gina K Designs
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, Distress Ink
Misc.: Paper Doily, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Corner Rounder

I decided to use my new date stamp by Amy Tangerine to add the birthdate on the card.  I thought it would be a fun way to personalize it.  The doily is aged by using Antique Linen Distress Ink.

I cannot believe the young boy I remember is now a dad! It is amazing how fast time flies!  I know my late husband is looking down on the happy family and is sharing in all the happiness.

Aryana, you are loved more than you can possibly know!

Until next time!

House Mouse Baby Cards

Hi, guys! This week I was asked to make baby cards for some friends:  one for a girl named Stella and one for a boy named Sam.  I decided to use the same stamp but vary the colors and papers to give them a different look. The stamp I chose to use is called Butterflight by House Mouse.

I decided to use different color schemes for each and to personalize each with the new arrival's name. The images were colored with my Prisma colored pencils and Distress Stickles dry glitter was applied to the lily of the valley for some sparkle.

For the inside of each card I used the sentiment by Cloud9 Design that read:

A wee bit of heaven
drifted down from above,
a handful of happiness,
a heart full of love
            Helen Steiner Rice

I thought it was perfect with the butterfly bringing the tiny arrival!

Hope you enjoyed these cards today as much as I enjoyed creating them!

Until next time!
