Hi, guys! Hope all is well! Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for a little girl who was turning 6. I was asked to use an image with long brown hair and was emailed a picture to use as inspiration. I decided to use a Suzi Blu stamp to portray the birthday girl. Distress paint was used to color the Tim Holtz Alpha Number. Distress ink was used on a doily to add some fun and more texture and color.
K & Company paper was used for the background paper and a computer generated name was added in a Spellbinder label die.
My co-worker told me her granddaughter loved the card, and it always makes me very happy to hear the feedback.
Hope you have a great day! Until next time!

Birthday Wishes For Two Special Nieces
Hi, guys! Hope all is well! My two nieces celebrated their birthdays last week while on vacation. I cannot wait to celebrate with them soon, so I made a pair of cards for them!
My niece Amanda is 9 and is the ultimate girly-girl. I sorted through my stash and found this fun girl image by Stampavie/Suzi Blu that I thought would be perfect for her. Amanda has very long dark brown hair and loves to wear dresses, etc. I heat embossed the birthday greeting with white embossing powder both on the outside and inside of the card. I like the contrast against the kraft card. This is a very large card as this image is very large and wouldn't fit on my standard A2 Card. The flower was actually a very light pink one, but I added Distress Ink to the tips to mimic the patterned paper. When I was married my new cousin-in-law glued a bunch of fabric flowers to her gift, and me, being me, took them all off and saved them in a jar and love to use them on my cards and other crafts.
For Grace, who is 6, I decided to use the Tea Party set by My Favorite Things. The little girl reminds me of her. Both Grace and Amanda love to come and have tea parties at my house, and have them together at home all the time. This set is fun as I got to stamp a fun table setting and paper pieced the tablecloth. For both these cards I used Kelly Purkey Alphabet Stickers to note their ages. I received those stickers in my monthly card kit from Simon Says Stamp and thought it would be a good use for them. I am not one to use many stickers on my cards, but they are subtle enough for me!
Hope you have a fabulous weekend! We have a weekend filled with concerts, barbecues and friends!
Until next time!

Happy Birthday Card For a Granddaughter!
Hi, guys! Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for an eight-year-old girl. I was asked by her grandma to make one with long brown hair. I thought about it some and decided to use this fun image by Stampavie Suzi Blu. The other request was to make it a "large" card. The stamp I used is very, very large, so it was perfect. One of the reasons I don't like to make large cards is there is so much space to fill, and I can't emboss the backgrounds with my A2 size folders. So, after some thought, I decided to use some patterned paper for the background.
Supplies:
Stamps:Stampavie Suzi Blu
Paper: Gina K Designs, DCWV
Ink: Memento Black, Copics
Misc.: Stampin' Up Circle Punches, Ribbon, Glitter Pen, Corner Rounder, Computer Generated Letters/Number
I was trying to figure a fun way to put the birthday girl's name on the card and decided to mimic the paper and put the letters in individual circles in matching colors.
Here's wishing Jenna has a fun-filled birthday!
Until next time!

Happy Birthday, Moe!
Hi, guys! Hope all is well! For today, I wanted to share a card I made for my niece for her birthday. I am very late in getting this to her. I decided to get her a fun gift to send with it, and so I had to wait a bit for it to be made. Can you guess what it is?
This was a fun card to make as I got to watercolor with my Distress Markers and use a lot of glitter!
This stamp is just adorable and since my niece loves art and creating, I thought she would be perfect.
Supplies:
Stamps: Suzi Blu
Ink: Archival Black, Distress Markers
Paper: Recollections Card, Watercolor Paper
Misc.: Martha Stewart Glitters, Gems, Tim Holtz Tile Letters
I decided to get Momo a personalized stamp for her to use on her creations and cards. She loves art and when she comes over we have such a great time making cards together.
I think she will love having her own stamp! I ordered it from www.paperangel.com, as I have used them many times and love how they turn out. Just a note: I have NO affiliation with them at all, just love their products and thought I would share in case someone needs a source for personalized stamps sometime.
Hope you have a great day! Until next time!

WOYWW 196 (New Stamps)
Hi, guys! Hope all is well. Today is Wednesday, so it is time to share what is on my work desk! I am sorting my new stamps! My hubby was so sweet and picked me up a couple of lovely french sets, and I picked up a few Suzi Blu stamps as well.
I can't wait to get them inky. I have a few cards to work on this week, so I am hoping to use the Suzi Blu ones for some lovely young ladies' cards.
I look forward to visiting with some of you today and checking out your desks. Thank you to Julia for all this weekly fun! If you want to join in the fun, check out http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/
and share what's on your work desk!
Until next time!

Happy 5th Birthday, Isabella!
Hi, guys! Today I am sharing a card I made for a friend to give to her granddaughter for her 5th birthday. My friend emailed me Isabella's picture and I saw she loved to dress up like a princess. I thought this fun stamp by Suzi Blu would be perfect for her.
Supplies:
Stamps: Stampavie/Suzi Blu
Paper: Stampin' Up, Core-dinations
Ink: Memento Black
Misc.: Copics, Ribbon, Oval punch, Circle Punches, Gems, Dazzling Diamonds
I thought the use of the Dazzling Diamonds on the wings would be a great touch and add to the sparkle of the card.
Hope Isabella has a very happy birthday and a fun-filled 5th year!
Until next time!

Happy Birthday, Amanda
Hi, guys! You know the saying, "Sugar & Spice and everything nice..." - well, that describes my niece Amanda to a T! She is turning 8 and I thought I would share the birthday card I made for her. If you can picture the ultimate girlie-girl, you will have Amanda in mind. She loves dressing up and having tea parties with me either at my house or at our favorite tea shop in Manhattan. Nothing cuter than a little girl dressed up in a dress, hat and gloves. It will melt your heart.
I decided to use a stamp by Suzi Blu by Stampavie. She looks so pretty, feminine with a touch of sporty. I love the way she is on skates in a dress with flowers. So fun, and so Amanda.
Supplies:
Stamps: Suzi Blu/Stampavie
Paper: Stampin' Up
Ink: Memento Black
Misc.: Copic Markers, Tim Holtz Alpha/Numeric 8, Washi Tape from Japan, Flower Gem
I want to give a special thanks to my sister-in-law Rika for bringing me back a great supply of washi tape from Japan when she visited her family last summer. I got to use it on this card and I love the colors and patterns on them.
Happy Birthday, Amanda!
Thanks for visiting with me today, and I hope to see you back soon!
