WOYWW #245 - Valentine's Day Gift Bag Decorated With Tim Holtz Supplies

Today is Wednesday, so I am sharing what is on my work desk with you. Shield your eyes if the sight of a inky mess scares you!  I just finished decorating a gift bag for my husband's Valentine gifts.  I decided to use a few sets of Tim Holtz stamps by Stampers Anonymous and Wendy Vecchi Archival inks.

I used my Distress Markers to spritz the bag and made a tag with one of Tim's tickets that I stamped on.

Here is the completed bag.  I decided to use the Tim Holtz tissue that has text on it.  My husband loves books and dictionaries, and he cringes when I tear them up for my crafting.  I know he will like this fun paper. He will see the Distress Glitter on the heart and know it was made by me!

Thank you to Julia for this desk hopping fun!  I look forward to catching up with a lot of you today!  Hope everyone has a special Valentine's Day on Friday!

Lovely bag, Winnie. Now how would he possibly guess by seeing glitter that it was made specially for him by yourself?? Well done you - have made a card, but not even thought about a potential present....oops!
Have a great week.

Great bag Winnie, laughed about the glitter. I must admit I;m with your Hubby about books- I've got hundreds, even bought some old tatty ones from charity shops to use in crafting, and I just cannot bring myself to tear a page out! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz # 43 xx

Hi Winnie, won't let my hubby see your hubby's big bag with gifts! I got mine some chocolate (yes, he's a chocoholic!), but that's it. You have a lucky husband. Great bag! Hugs, Geri

I haven't decorated many bags with my stamps, but really why not? You've created a wonderful bag to tuck goodies in for your husband.

Hello again, Winnie. Thanks for visiting - yes, here in Britain you need a TV licence. That gives you the right to watch BBC and ITV. It started years ago in order to fund BBC - 'cos they don't get income from adverts. However, nowadays there are loads of channels available. Some free, some paid for. But you need a box or adapted TV I think - don't know much about it as we haven't watched live TV for nearly 30 years. By "live" I mean watching it as it is broadcast. We can watch catch-up on I-player on our computers quite legally without a licence. But sky tv and such aren't on there, so I don't get to see create and craft or any of those sort of channels.
Brief, and possibly inaccurate - but I hope not - explanation of British TV usage.

I love your Valentine bag! About using old books...... I go to my local library and they have a little bookstore where people can donate books. I bought a German Bible that is absolutely gorgeous ($5.00). I thought of using the pages in projects but I haven't brought myself to tear a page out. I have an entire shelf full of books that I've gotten for free at the same little used bookstore. All kinds of languages. I'll have to do a post about the books that I've found there.

Happy belated WOYWW

I really like this! I think I'd be cringing watching you tear up books too. One time I wanted to donate some old books to the library and they told me they would sell them for kindling so I held onto them lol.

Oh Winnie, I think I'd be cringing in the corner with your husband, LOL! But I'm absolutely searching it wouldn't be one of your Jane Austens :) IT's a beautiful technique and brings forth so much creative, not surprising since you are amazingly talented! I am sure he loved his bag/gift :) great job, as always my friend!
