WOYWW #263 - Letter Writing Underway

Today is Wednesday and I am sharing what is on my work desk with you!  You will see a nice pile of letters patiently waiting a reply (about 20!).  I love how some of my pen pals make their own envelopes using old calendars and papers.  Such a treat to receive.  I love to make envelopes but the amount of letters really gives me little time.  So, as a card maker (and someone who has a ton of stamps), I decorate my envelopes using fun stamps. You will see a bunch on the desk as well.  I am using one of my favorite color fountain pen inks (Edelstein Jade).

Off to make a nice cup of tea and continue answering these letters!  I have been on vacation and taking classes and it is funny how they pile up!

Thank you, Julia, for the desk hopping fun!  Why don't you join in and share what you are working on? Visit Julia and play along, you will enjoy it!

Until next time!

I too have move fun decorating my envies than making them. I like to hand color them with my Sakura gellyroll pens. I like the ink stamp collection, who is it made by? Diane #40

How lovely to write proper letters Winnie. I have to confess my handwriting is not very neat so I think I would need to write in Jade ink to disguise the fact!!! Hope you are catching up with your correspondence. Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 61

Love your envelopes! And your fountain pens are gorgeous. I think I have a letter from you waiting in my reply pile.

I love getting stamps from all around the world and I have a huge selection - I find the recipient also loves getting nice stamps, so I always try to find something special for my envelopes :)

Letters are so special these days! It reminds me of Jane Austen a bit, love it. I'm glad to hear you appreciate handmade envelopes--I think I make envelopes out of everything including magazines, old books, and all kinds of papers with writing on them. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #44

How beautiful to receive a lovely letter written in a fountain pen ink - Jade green! Fabulous. Not a biro, not a felt type pen, not an email, not a text - but something to hold, to touch, to keep. Well done you!!
Have a great week.

A great idea to decorate your envelopes with stamps, Winnie. Most letters one receives through the post these days are boring business ones or worse still, unsolicited junk mail, so it's lovely to receive something that is clearly hand done with love!

Thanks for your visit and your nice comment - so glad you are enjoying my holiday journal, and also my knitting! I would enjoy the rest of the trip better if I could overcome the extreme exhaustion my M.E. is subjecting me to atm - today I could hardly keep awake all day. We've had a busy time lately and I really need a complete rest in order to catch up.

Happy WOYWW,

I love your fountain pens - and you've just made me realise that I simply don't write proper letters any more - it's nearly all email - how sad! I also love the selection of stamps - the ones at the back with the pen nibs are fab, and I bet your envelopes look stunning when you've finished decoration them. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week,

I'm so glad you still write letters! That's rare these days, as everybody is telling you. I love how you decorate the envelopes, and that you use a fountain pen. Way to go!

Love the fountain pens- wonderful to see someone actually writing letters instead of emails! I well remember having penpals as a child- that brings back memories. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #30xx

Gorgeous pens, we don't tend to use them very often and they are a pleasure to work with.
Have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x #45

Wow! Real fountain pens. I haven't seen anyone use one of those in decades. [Except me, I use one every now and then.]
