WOYWW #241 - The Aftermath

I was up late crafting on Monday evening. I posted yesterday the cards that I completed. Since today is Wednesday, I am sharing what is on my desk with you, but I have to warn you - it isn't pretty!

You will notice that I am not the neatest painter around! I must say the use of alcohol wipes are making my life a lot easier as I use them to clean off my stencils and craft mat.

Thank you to Julia for the desk hopping fun! Hope to visit with a lot of you today and see what you are working on. Off to clean this desk off so I can have some inky fun tomorrow!

Does "messy" matter, Winnie? If you get the desired results....well, that's the important bit, surely?
Have a great messy week.

Winnie, I just keep a box of the cheapest baby wipes on my desk where I am working. they clean everything apart from the Splodge Away mat (water only on that one). Painting is not clean and tidy, just embrace the inky fingered fun. xx Maggie #24

Thanks for the visit and your kind comment. I am so messy too. My DH was a bit cross as I managed to get acrylic paint on the fabric seat of the dining chair. I did manage to get it off with my favourite cleaning agent, which is baby wash mixed with glycerine. It works a treat. Alcohol wipes sound good though - must give them a try! Happy Wednesday! Love that line of paint pots all in a row! It made me smile to think of you all covered in paint and gesso...if I did the same sort of crafting as you, Winnie, I'd probably be even worse. I'm such a mucky pup. I look at these neat women you see sometimes, with their perfect hands and make up etc and wonder at them. I will NEVER be like that ever! As long as I'm clean and comfy, I just don't care, lol!
The needlecord clothes seem to have jogged memories today! Another treasure of mine was a cheesecloth shirt that I wore so much it became indecently thin by the end and went into holes...sigh. I'd love to have seen you in your funky jeans!!
Hugs, LLJ 45 xx

Well I think a creative desk is a happy desk! Just seeing pots of paint makes me happy. I agree about the alcohol wipes--I use those for all my cleanup now, especially when I'm painting. Now I must go have a peek at your cards! Thank you for visiting me today and your sweet words. Sandy Leigh #73

The aftermath of creating is never pretty, but you know us WOYWWers we LOVE a messy desk!

Those wipies are really a lifesaver, I use them to clean nearly everything.

Thanks for the earlier visit.

I try EVERSO hard to be a tidy crafter yet fail within a few minutes of getting started ... it drives me nuts but would rather spend my time crafting than trying to keep my workspace neat! Thanks for popping by my blog earlier ... have to say I do have a bit of a Tim Holtz addiction and his work is my much preferred style ... I just can't do it! Love from Debbie xXx

Messy is happy - and it looks like you've been having loads of fun! I use baby wipes for cleaning up pretty much everything, I don't know if they have alcohol in them, I 've never tried one - but they do a fab job!!! Thanks for stopping by my desk today, hope you have a great week.

Winnie, I think what made me feel the best after looking at your desk is realizing you're work space is about the same size as mine! Isn't it amazing how we can get so much done in such a little space? Of course, your studio might be huge, but the actual desk area we work on is amazing to me....and all my crafting friends admit their actual work space is the same. Thanks for sharing again! Hugs, Geri

As far as I am concerned, baby wipes are the greatest invention any crafter could have asked for!
