Tea Time Tuesday - Strawberries, Anyone?

Happy tea day! Today I am sharing a sweet tea cup that I love!  It is Lyndale Royal Albert.  This time of year, the gardens are starting to come to life, and what better fruit to illustrate springtime than strawberries?

The spoon I paired with this cup is sweet, isn't it?  The little tea pot has a lovely rose motif on it.

I tried growing strawberries in my garden for a few years.  They would grow until they were almost ready to eat, and birds and squirrels would eat them before I did.  I gave up trying to grow them myself, and use my tea cup instead!

I am sharing tea today at:

Until next time!

Pretty tea cup. I like those special tea spoons. I have a few I found in a tea shop somewhere.

Hi Winnie, I love the tea cup and doesn't tea taste so much better from fine bone china? The MOTH (man of the house) has his favourite tea mug which is the finest bone china which he says 'makes the best cuppa'. I'm sure the wildlife loved your strawberry growing efforts :) Visiting from NaBloPoMo in May 2014

Hi Winnie - delighted to meet you and all your ink! Been scrolling about here enjoying your teatime tidbits and WOW - your penpals and letter writing. Oh - should I just have the time for such a thing. I collect pens and inks and all things desk and old fashioned - just for show at present, though. My heart leaps when I see such treasures and ephemera in antique shops. I keep my best stuff in my mom's old writing desk. You've inspired me for a post, I daresay. Following you on FB!
Joy!

That is a pretty teacup, Winnie! The spoon is sweet too. I don't grow any fruit or veggies. We have a lot of trouble with crows picking off our flowers which is enough to deal with. Thanks for joining me for tea and enjoy your day.

Blessings,
Sandi

My, this is a beautiful teacup and saucer. The shape of Royal Albert is very elegant. I also love the strawberry pattern and it is perfect for this time of year. Enjoy your tea and have a wonderful week!

Hi Winnie
Your strawberry teacup is very nice and I can see building a whole tea around it when the strawberries are in. We had a strawberry patch at our last house for a few years, the only one eating the berries besides us was the dog!

What a sweet tea cup and spoon. I admire the fact that you have a green thumb and grow so many things....even if sometimes the birds get to them first. I'll bet you have beautiful flowers! Hugs, Geri N
