It has been a while since I got to join in on WOYWW! I have been in the hospital and not well for the New Year, so I haven't had anything on my desk to share with you. I am beginning to feel better so I am excited to join in today and also look forward to visiting you and seeing what you are up to!
Today on my desk you will see a bunch of handwritten letters waiting to get posted. I decided to join in a great program called InCoWriMo which stands for International Correspondence Writing Month. The idea is to write a note, letter, postcard or card to someone every day for the month of February. I am on my second batch of letters. You may recall I am a lover of fountain pens, so this is an excuse to break them all out and put them to good use. I dug out my wax seals and wax, and a bunch of fun stamps for the envelopes.
So far I have three letters going to the Netherlands and a bunch to various addresses in the states. I received my first letter from a kind woman in Minnesota who wrote on parchment and has an amazing hand.
Thank you to Julia www.stamping-ground.blogspot.com for the desk hopping fun! I sure missed our visits, and can't wait to catch up!
Until next time!

Hi Winnie. Happy Wednesday! Your letters look so wonderful with the wax seals....love that. Your friends will be receiving some happy mail very soon. Nothing like receiving a handwritten letter, and that is becoming a lost art. Take care, stay warm and we'll chat again soon. Hugs, Geri xo
What a commitment you've made. There's nothing like receiving a piece of snail mail from Mr Postie. Well done on your efforts

Your letters will make some ones day, I used to write to my mum every week when she was alive, it's so lovely to get a letter, makes a lovely change from the usual bills.

I think it is so nice to receive a handwritten letter. I can't remember the last one I received. No one takes the time anymore to spend a moment to write a note. I miss that.

Sure Hope you're on the mend Ms. Winnie! Sending you a strong recovery wish!
What a great idea. I was just recently saying I miss the letters I used to write and receive from my old school friend. We now communicate via Facebook - it's just not the same.

Wow - Winnie - what a lovely thing to do - well done you! Trust you will get lots more like the lovely parchment letter.
So sorry you have been so very unwell - trust the meds etc are all sorting themselves out now. John is the same - reacts to so very many medication types - I think they are running out of antibiotics to try on him!!!
Picture 4 on the bathroom photos is the finished room - we had it done to a wet room to help me shower John without needing to strip off or go into swimming gear - NOT a pretty sight I assure you!!!
Thanks for visiting - and apologies it has taken all week to get round!
Take care. God bless.

So sorry that you've been ill, but I'm glad that you are on the mend and back again to your crafting. I got sick December 30 and went to 3 different doctors before I got the right meds to get well.
