Hi, guys! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods! Since today is Wednesday, that means I am sharing what is on my work desk with you. Thank you to Julia for this desk-hopping fun!
My desk this week is very disjointed. This weekend I was in full Christmas card making mode and you will see I had to stop and push the stuff aside to begin a sympathy card for my husband's co-worker who lost her parent. I am currently working to finish it for tomorrow for him to take to the office. From happy card making to sad. But I know they are important and bring some sense of comfort.
This weekend I was able to finish a dozen Christmas cards for a co-worker. I hope to share them throughout the week. They were a hoot to make and he was so excited to receive them today!
I hope to visit with a bunch of you today and see what you are up to. Thanks for visiting!

Sympathy cards are always the hardest to make. As you say though, they do bring comfort. Thanks for visiting us already.

A hive of activity on your desk, Winnie. I am sure the sympathy card will go down very well. A lovely thought.
Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog, and I'm glad you like my new ARTHaven. Once I've got it better organised I'll do a video tour! Thank you for your kind thoughts about Dad, and I'm sorry you had to go through all this too - many of us with elderly parents are having to cope with it as they live longer and suffer the sort of illness and debility that their forebears never did. It is a very difficult time for us all, and I am feeling pretty exhausted by it all, and getting behind with all the jobs I have to do, too, but you are so right, I mustn't forget to look after myself too.

Hi Winnie, Happy WOYWW and thanks for visiting me. My husband would paint everything magnolia if left to his own devices, and I have to fight him over the shade, he wants the palest shade of a colour possible, as close to magnolia as he can get, I want the deeper shades and we end up somewhere a bit more than the palest not quite in the middle! The hall is about to be Jasmine white I found out today, but that is fine, it is dark and needs a light colour and as long as the rooms have colour I can live with it! Sympathy cards are so hard to begin I find, but necessary as you say. Good luck with the Christmas cards, I have to make some too.

Sympathy ARE the hardest cards to make!!! I try to make two whenever I need to make one, so I'll have one on hand for the next time. Good luck with your Christmas cards!
Gorgeous Christams papers, and I love the use of the folder for a sympathy card. Just how they need to be, simple & heartfelt. Running late this week, playing catch-up now. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #57 xx
Lovely papers. I agree, however the timing, a sympathy card is an important thing..says so much to the bereaved about not being alone, bless you for getting to it.
